And when it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "We are only peacemakers." Verily! They are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not. And when it is said to them: "Believe as the people (followers of Muhammad Peace be upon him, Al-Ansâr and Al-Muhajirûn) have believed," they say: "Shall we believe as the fools have believed?" Verily, they are the fools, but they know not. [Quran 2:11-13]
Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Taghut (Satan etc.). So fight you against the friends of Satan; ever feeble indeed is the plot of Satan.(V.4:76).

It seems the Palestinian leader is overseeing the brutal siege of his own people in Gaza without a care or thought for them.
Apparently Defence Minister Ehud Barak and the Pharonic Mubarak opened serious discussions about the deployment of an Arab force in the Gaza Strip consisting largely of Egyptian and some Saudi troops.
Apparently the two said they would eventually like to expand the deployment of Arab and international forces to the West Bank as well, with those troops consisting largely of Jordanian forces, according to the Israeli plan.
The reason for this nonsense? Well I believe it is because Hamas, the democratically elected government (certainly in Gaza) is doing such a good job of maintaining law and order and are growing in popularity with ordinary Palestinians that their continued rise is viewed as a huge threat ... not just to the Zionist interlopers but to the rest of the leadership in the Arab world.
Gaza is the world's largest open air prison and its infrastructure, emergency services and day to day operations have been crippled by the brutal Israeli-led siege.
Yet despite this, Hamas - since it kicked out the corrupt Fatah fat cats last year - has managed to try and hold things together for its 1.5m citizens on the Gaza Strip.
They are living a hand-to-mouth existence and innocent men, women and children are dying in this collective punishment because they are being denied vital medicines and access to the outside world, but their support of Hamas is growing by the day. I've seen it with my own eyes and so, unlike most of the outside politicians including the Quartet's Peace Envoy Tony Blair, I am coming from a point of knowledge.
I, along with more than 40 other international peace activists, went to Gaza recently by boat to smash the seaborne part of the siege, and we saw for ourselves the dreadful situation imposed on the Gazans.
But I was also able to wander and move around freely and discovered Gaza to be among one of the safest cities in the world ... certainly much more safe than the streets of London or New York. Crime is down more than 80 per cent since Hamas police took over - the statistics are available.
One day myself and film-maker Aki Nawaz wandered down on to the beach and took part in a lively, political discussion with ordinary Palestinians ... and some of them made it clear they did not like or support Hamas. But what we did was taken part in a full and frank discussion and such freedoms of speech are not allowed or encouraged in the rest of the Arab world.
The fact is, there is so much irrational hatred for Hamas from Israel, America and Europe that the politicians just refuse to accept the truth and the truth is the majority of Gazans love and support Hamas.
And here's why. The Hamas leadership and members are suffering just as much as the ordinary citizens of Gaza. They endure the hardship of the siege, they have their power supplies cut off, they have to put up with Israel switching off the tap water when it chooses. They, too are suffering and the people can see this with their own eyes.
It really does appear as if the Hamas leadership can not be bought or corrupted.
Millions of dollars and Euros are pouring in to the Palestinian Authority's coffers controlled by Abu Mazen and NOT ONE CENT reaches the people of Gaza. Sadly, it seems the Palestinian leader is overseeing the brutal siege of his own people in Gaza without a care or thought for them.
I've previously met both Abu Mazen and Yassir Arafat and I can tell you the former is a pale imitation of the latter. Arafat suffered daily alongside his own people and I witnessed firsthand when I went to his HQ in Ramallah in 2003.
The only financial interest Abu Mazen has in Gaza is his own obscenely luxurious Hollywood villa which nestles in uneasy splendour next to crumbling homes, ghettoes and poverty. You would think that the ordinary Gazans would want to tear down this luxurious home brick by brick but they can't ... it is being guarded and protected by Hamas!
Abu Mazen should hang his head in shame. He won't even pick up the phone to the Prime Minister Ismael Haniyeh who told me, in a private meeting earlier this month, that he has attempted several times to open talks with Abu Mazen who sits in his luxurious bolt hole on the West Bank (actually, I'm told he has several homes but like US Presidential hopeful John McMain can't be too sure of the exact number!)
The reality is if democratic elections were held in the Middle East tomorrow, Hamas would be swept to victory wherever candidates stood.
So now you know why Israel and its Arab subordinates want to send an army in to Gaza - they are terrified that the charisma and leadership of Hamas might start to spread in the region, and that wouldn't do, would it?
Oh, and by the way, no one has officially consulted the Saudis yet - but when Israel says jump the Riyadh response is: "How high?" So don't expect any resistance from them.
And the other reason why Israel wants to bring in Arab forces, is that they might just act as a buffer or protection zone for the Zionist Army which prefers to use its weapons on women and children but is quaking at the prospect of a real ruck with the Hamas military.
Israel is still smarting after its defeat at the hands of Hizb'Allah's soldiers in Lebanon and its military really couldn't face another spanking at the hands of Hamas troops if the current truce falters.
There is an easy solution to all of this - Israel should lift the siege and sit down for talks with Hamas - Ismael Haniyeh told me he is ready and waiting.
Yvonne Ridley and Indy film-maker Aki Nawaz are making a documentary for Press TV about the boat journey of the Free Gaza Movement and what they found when they arrived on the Gaza Strip.

As the doctor walks between rows of bodies, people lift funeral shrouds to reveal the faces of children and babies, some with severe head injuries.
Women are heard wailing in the background. “Oh God, this is just a child,” shouts one villager. Another cries: “My mother, my mother.”
The grainy video eight-minute footage, seen exclusively by The Times, is the most compelling evidence to emerge of what may be the biggest loss of civilian life during the Afghanistan war.
These are the images that have forced the Pentagon into a rare U-turn. Until yesterday the US military had insisted that only seven civilians were killed in Nawabad on the night of August 21.

MERITS OF MUHAMMAD (PBUH) Upload Here
MERITS OF THE SAHABA (PBUH) Upload Here
Ramadan is a sacred month wherein Almighty Allah is constantly testing His creation and giving humanity the opportunity to achieve His pleasure. One of the notable features of this blessed month, at a time when war has been declared upon Islam and the Muslims by America and Britain, is how the Imaan and understanding of the Muslims manifested itself upon the battlefield under the sincere Islamic leadership.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) passed through approximately nine Ramadan’s together after the Hijrah. They were filled with decisive events that took place in Ramadan and left us a shining example of sacrifice and submission to Allah the Most High in the cause of making His Word the highest.
In the first year after the Hijrah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Hamzah ibn Abdul Muttalib with thirty Muslim riders to Saif al Bahr to investigate three hundred riders from Quraish who had camped auspiciously in that area. The Muslims were about to engage the disbelievers, but they were separated by Majdy ibn Umar al-Juhany. The Hypocrites of Al-Madinah, hoping to oppose the unity of the Muslims, built their own masjid (called Masjid al-Dhirar). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered this masjid to be destroyed in Ramadan, after he returned from the ghazwah of Tabuk.
On the seventeenth of Ramadan, 2 A.H., Almighty Allah separated truth from falsehood at the Great Battle of Badr. He the All Powerful gave them a decisive victory on this day of Ramadan that would never to be forgotten.
“And indeed Allah assisted you at Badr when you were weak, so be observant to your duty to Allah so that you may be of the thankful ones. When you said to the believers ‘Does it not suffice you that your Lord should assist you with three thousand angels sent down.” Surat Aali Imran 3:123 & 124
The battle of Badr was the first of the great battles of Islam. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left Medina with 313 men, 2 horses and 70 camels to go to Badr. On the 17th Ramadhan 2 A.H they defeated an army of 1000 men, 100 horses and 700 camels that left Makkah under the leadership of Abu Jahl to go to Badr.
During the Battle of Badr, Allah the Most Strong, inspired to His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), “I will help you with a thousand of the angels each behind the other in succession.” [TMQ 8:9]. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rested after the strain of this revelation and then raised his head joyfully, crying, “O Abu Bakr, glad tidings are there for you, Allah’s victory has approached, by Allah, I can see Gabriel on his mare in the thick of a sandstorm.”
For us today, there are numerous ahadeeth which indicate similar victories to come not only over the Jews but also about Islam’s dominance extending over the entire world. We must make du’a for these victories, but not stop at that. For Islam also requires us to ensure that the actions of the Muslims collectively as an Ummah, through the establishment of sincere unified State, also reflect that noble purpose.
The battle of Badr strengthened the faith of the Muslims and was a decisive victory that shattered the forces of kufr and firmly established the new State in Medinah as a powerful spiritual, political and military force.
In 6 A.H., Zaid ibn Haritha was sent to Wadi al-Qura at the head of a detachment to confront Fatimah bint Rabiah, the queen of that area. Fatimah had previously attacked a caravan led by Zaid and had succeeded in plundering its wealth. She was known to be the most protected woman in Arabia, as she hung fifty swords of her close relatives in her home. Fatimah was equally renowned for showing open hostility to Islam. She was killed in a battle against the Muslims in the month of Ramadan.
By Ramadan of 8 A H., the treaty of Hudaibiyah had been broken and the Muslim armies had engaged the Byzantines in the North. Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) felt the need to strike a fatal blow to disbelief in the Arabian Peninsula and conquered the city of Makkah in ramadhan. This was one of the most important dates in Islamic history for after it, Islam was firmly entrenched in the Arabian Peninsula. During the same month and year, after smashing the idols of Makkah, detachments were sent to the major centres of polytheism and al-Lat, Manat and Suwa, some of the greatest idols of Arabia, were destroyed.
Such was the month of Ramadan in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It was a time of purification, enjoining the good, forbidding evil and striving hard with one’s life and wealth to make the word of Allah the highest and Islam the dominant Deen. After the death of the Prophet (saw), Muslims carried this Sunnah on and Allah the Majestic used the believers to affect the course of history. Ramadan continued then just as we see today in Central Asia and Afghanistan, to be a time of great trials and crucial events.
Ninety-two years after the Hijrah and in Ramadhan, Musa ibn Nusair the Umayyad governor of North Africa, and his courageous general Tariq ibn Ziyad succeeded in liberating whole of Spain, Sicily and part of France, beginning the Golden Age of Al-Andalus where Muslims ruled for over 700 years.
In the year 682 A.H., Salahuddin al-Ayyubi, after battling with the Crusaders for years, finally drove them out of Syria and liberated the whole of the occupied lands in the month of Ramadan. It was then that the Muslim world was destined to meet one of its greatest challenges.
In the seventh century A.H. the Mongols were sweeping across Asia destroying everything that lay in their path. Genghis Khan called himself “the scourge of God sent to punish humanity for their sins. “In 617 A.H. Samarkand, Ray, and Hamdan were put to the sword causing more than 700,000 people to be killed or made captive. In 656 A.H. Hulagu, the grandson of Genghis Khan continued this destruction. Even Baghdad, the leading city of the Muslim world, was sacked. Some estimates say that as many as 1,800,000 Muslims were killed in this awesome carnage. The Christians were asked to eat pork and drink wine openly while the surviving Muslims were forced to participate in drinking bouts. Wine was sprinkled in the masjids and no Azan (call to prayer) was allowed.
In the wake of such a horrible disaster and with the threat of the whole Muslim world being subjected to the same fate, Allah the Great One raised up from the Ummah, Saifuddin Qutz, who united the Muslim army and met the Mongols at Ain Jalut on 26th Ramadan, 648 A.H. Although they were under great pressure, the Muslims with the help of Allah, cunning strategy and unflinching bravery, crushed the Mongol army and reversed this tidal wave of horror. The whole of the world sighed in relief and stood in awe at the remarkable achievement of these noble sons of Islam.
This was the spirit of Ramadan that enabled our righteous forefathers to face seemingly impossible challenges. It was a time of intense activity, spending the day in the saddle and the night in prayer while calling upon Allah for His mercy and forgiveness.
Today, the Muslim world is faced with imperialist occupation, military aggression, widespread corruption and oppressive rulers. The War against Islam and the Muslims is in full swing. So arise O believers and walk in the footsteps of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the illustrious Sahabah, Tariq ibn Ziyad, Qutuz, Salahuddin and the other countless heroes of Islam. Strive to become the believers who are unafraid of the threats of the disbelievers, who are kind and humble to the believing people; Muslims whose fast is complete and not just a source of hunger and thirst.
May Allah the Most Glorious One make us that generation of Muslims who re-establish the promised Khilafah and carry Islam to the four corners of the globe, may Allah the Able give us the strength and success to lay the proper foundations of the Islamic rule for the coming generations and make us of those who carry out our Islam during Ramadan and after it.
Dr. Saddiqui’s lawyer, Elizabeth Fink, filed a request for determination of competence to stand trial and reported a very bleak situation accusing the prosecuting U.S. attorney of being “disingenuous” and accusing the government of preventing her client from receiving proper medical care. Ms. Fink reported that if the judge agreed with the U.S. government’s request to send her to a federal detention facility in Butler, Texas “she’ll be gone,” and also stated that she doesn’t have an ability to talk to her client because Sister Saddiqui refuses to go through the humiliating strip searches that accompany any movement outside her cell. Ms. Fink reported that while Aafia had not been strip searched the first two times she saw her, the prison guards soon realized that by strip searching her they could confine her to her cell and therefore they were still preventing her access to the defendant. Ms. Fink stated that, “she didn’t appear because she doesn’t want to go through the strip search process” not only because of her religious beliefs but because she has a large, long incision on her head and is in a detestable physical and mental condition.
Ms. Fink claimed her case to be part of “the American dark side,” as she revealed in the hearing that, “I believe that this women was kidnapped with her children in March 2003 and that she has been held either by the Pakistani government or the Americans and that she was released in July.” She continued and explained that, “she is unbelievably damaged.” Elaine Sharp, a member of Aafia’s legal team, also confirmed Revolution Muslim’s inquisition into whether Sister Aafia corroborated their belief that she had been detained for the past five years. When asked if Aafia herself was saying that she was held and tortured Ms. Sharp answered affirmatively. When asked if she was Bagram Air Base prisoner “650,” she replied that all the evidence pointed to that being the case.
Still the mainstream press has not covered the other side of the story in detail, something Ms. Fink alluded to in the hearing claiming that, “the government has saturated the press with lies… to prejudice the case against Dr. Saddiqui” and that they were utilizing ABC News an outlet she termed “their feeder.” The headlines in the press certainly highlighted her refusal to show up in court over the very serious allegations made by the defense team. Fox News, for example, headlined with, “A Pakistani woman believed to have close ties to Al Qaeda who was captured with a list of potential U.S. landmarks for a ‘mass casualty attack’ skipped court Thursday, apparently to avoid being strip-searched, FOX News has learned.” Their report included nothing of the allegations made by the defense about her illegal detainment for five years or American involvement.
